Our story

Built from heritage.Made for waterfowl.

01 — Where it started

Built from something deeper.

Southern Dreams Outdoors wasn’t created just to put another logo on a shirt. It was built from a connection to something deeper: family, heritage, and the waterfowl lifestyle.

The inspiration behind Southern Dreams Outdoors goes back to my mom’s dad, my grandfather. Unfortunately, he passed away before I ever had the chance to meet him, but I grew up hearing about the kind of man he was and the things he loved.

Hunting was a major part of his life, and above everything else, waterfowl hunting was his passion.

02 — What I was always told

“You get it from him.”

As I got older and developed that same passion for ducks, flooded timber, marshes, dogs, decoys, and cold mornings before daylight, I was constantly told: “You get it from him.” Those words stuck with me.

Even though I never had the opportunity to share a blind with him, throw out decoys beside him, or watch the sun come up over the water with him, hunting gave me a connection to someone I never got the chance to know.

That connection became part of the inspiration for Southern Dreams Outdoors.

03 — Who it’s for

For the ones who live for it.

This brand is built around waterfowl first. It’s for the hunters who understand that duck hunting is about more than pulling a trigger.

It’s the 3:00 A.M. alarms. The freezing boat rides. The mud, rain, flooded fields and timber. Breaking ice. Watching a dog make a retrieve you’ll never forget. The anticipation when wings start cutting through the morning sky.

It’s putting in the work when nobody else sees it, because when waterfowl season comes around, there’s nowhere else you’d rather be.

Southern Dreams Outdoors was created for the hard hunters: the men and women who don’t just hunt when conditions are perfect.

They live for the conditionsthat make everyone else stay home.

The mark is a duck foot with a band on the leg that reads SDO. Every duck hunter knows what a band means.

You don’t buy one.You earn it.

Same as a paycheck. Same as a good season.

04 — One drop at a time

Drop 001

We want to build something that stands apart from the typical outdoor brand: something authentic to the people who actually live this lifestyle.

We’re starting one drop at a time. Drop 001 is three rope hats and a pocket tee. When it’s gone, we make the next one.

01

Made to be used.

Sweat it through in an August attic. Soak it in the marsh. Toss it on the dash. That’s what it’s for.

02

Work comes first.

Every piece starts with the job site and the blind. If it only looks good on a shelf, we don’t make it.

03

Up before daylight.

For the ones who put in the week and still get up at four on Saturday.

And while this brand has its roots in a grandfather I never got to meet, the goal is to build something that can be passed down to the next generation. Because hunting traditions don’t start or end with one person.

Theylive on.

Born from heritage. Built for waterfowl. Made for the hard hunters.
